As the Founder and Director of LG du Plooy & Associates, LG pursues his legal career with a clear focus to ensure high-quality legal advice and personalised service to each client. Born and raised in Pretoria, LG obtained a BCom LLB degree from North-West University of Potchefstroom. His journey in practice began in 2016, and he was admitted as an attorney in April 2019. The decision to establish LG du Plooy & Associates in March 2024 stemmed from LG’s ambition to take the next step in his professional development, striving for personal and professional growth while embracing the challenges and responsibilities of leading a law firm.
With extensive experience gained at Hartzenberg Incorporated, LG offers a depth of knowledge and a practical approach to law, with Labour Law being a key area of his expertise. This focus emphasises his commitment to addressing the intricate challenges within this field, using an extensive network of resources to support clients effectively.

Ferdinand Hartzenberg is an acclaimed attorney with over 20 years of legal experience and a distinguished reputation in Pretoria as one of the best and most well-known family law experts. With a career that has seen him actively involved in the High Court since 1991, Ferdi specialises in family law, commercial litigation, property law, business structuring both locally and internationally. His tenure also includes acting as a Judge in the Gauteng Division of the High Court of South Africa, Pretoria. Ferdi’s dynamic and client-focused approach has attracted a diverse and high-profile clientele, including business leaders, celebrities, and sports stars.
Vita Wilkens has been practicing as an attorney since 2000 and a skilled conveyancer and notary public. She has played a pivotal role in various property developments since 2002, including the registration of sectional title schemes. Her academic journey led her to pursue a Master of Science in Town & Regional Planning and later a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Pretoria, culminating in a dissertation on the professionalisation of the Sectional Title Industry in South Africa. Her proficiency extends to construction adjudication, having completed an Advanced Certificate in 2014. Since 2012, Vita has enriched the Department of Construction Economics at the University of Pretoria as a lecturer, sharing her knowledge in Real Estate, Property Law, and more. As a program leader for BSc Real Estate programs, she also contributes to professional development through various short courses, collaborating with industry bodies to enhance sectional title management education.
